Magic & Dittany of Crete...
Historically Dittany of Crete has been prized as a magic herb. Long before it was mentioned as a magical herb in the Harry Potter books and films, Dittany was used in a variety of magical rites, rituals and spell work.
Known locally as Eronda, (meaning love), it has been used in love potions and love spells because of its association with love. It is also said to be used for astral projection - the ability to will oneself out of the body, to cure sleep walking, to manifest spirits and to mesmerize, spellbind and hypnotize.
In the Book of Thoth - a legendary book containing powerful spells and ancient knowledge, Dittany of Crete is referred to as diktamnon, sacred to the Minoan goddess Diktynna, from whom the magic herb derives its name.
As the Cretan Diktynna, she wears a wreath made of the magic plant
diktamnon, or dictamnus, the evergreen shrub whose contact is said,
at the same time, to develop somnambulism and cure finally of it.......
she is the goddess who presides over births; and the use of the dictamnus
wreath, in association with the moon, shows once more the profound
observation of the ancients. This plant is known in botany as possessing
strongly sedative properties; it grows on Mount Dicte, a Cretan mountain,
in great abundance; on the other hand, the moon, according to the best
authorities on animal magnetism, acts upon the juices and ganglionic system,
or nerve-cells, the seat from whence proceed all the nerve-fibres which play
such a prominent part in mesmerization. During childbirth the Cretan women were covered with this plant, and its roots were administered as best
calculated to soothe acute pain, and allay the irritability so dangerous at this period.

Here's a Magic Love Spell you might like to try.
Magic Love Spell
Ingredients
A tall pink candle in holder or candlestick
A long stemmed pink rose with thorns
A small container to hold salt
A small bowl to hold water
Rose Oil
Dried Dittany of Crete in a small dish
Casting the Spell
Set the bowls of salt and water onto a table. The salt should be placed to the north position, the water to the west.
Place a candlestick to hold your pink candle to the south position and place a small dish to the east holding a small amount of Dittany of Crete.
Carefully cut a thorn from the pink rose stem. Use this thorn to engrave the words " Bringeth love to me" upon the pink candle.
Next anoint your engraved pink candle with the rose oil by carefully and purposefully rubbing 3-5 drops of the oil all over the candle. Think of your ideal lover as you gently rub the oil into the wax until the candle is covered and evenly scented.
Set the candle in its holder.
Set the pink rose in the centre position.
Carefully set light to the Dittany of Crete to form a smoky incense. Next dip your ring finger of your left hand into the salt then into the water. Finally light the pink candle and repeat 3 times the following:
‘Grant to me my wish I make
Of love to give and love to take
Equal and fair bring henceforth to me
Love to share
So mote it be’
When you feel the time is right blow out the candle. Take the rose and carefully remove the petals and place in the water bowl. Set the rose petal water aside for 3 days and then use it to bathe in by adding to a warm bath or to use as a rinse for your hair.
