December in Crete...
December is a quiet time with very few tourists on this beautiful Greek Island. The islanders begin to prepare for the olive picking season which lasts over the winter months. December can still be very warm with little need to wear an overcoat.
December in Crete also see the oranges and lemons begin to really ripen on the trees. There are many orange groves bursting with fruit at this time of year.
